Located around 1 hour 40 minutes drive from Melbourne city is a family friendly, clean and tidy beach. Whether you fancy a day trip with the family or are staying nearby, the beach and the nearby town are definitely worth a look.
At 2 km long, Ocean Grove beach is situated on the southern coast of the Bellarine Peninsula. The town of Ocean Grove is the largest town outside of Geelong on the Bellarine Peninsula and offers many small shops and unique stores which provide a great shopping experience.
In regards to swimming at this particular beach , the website beachsafe.org.au says that Ocean Grove beach is "A moderately safe beach, particularly during average summer conditions, when extensive bars dominate. Best at high tide, however watch the rips, particularly at low tide. Best to stay between the flags."
