On Saturday the 4th of March 2017, an outdoor cinema screening of the film 'Finding Dory' will be held in Ocean Grove Park.
This event is being held to raise money for the Cherished Pets Foundation, a registered charity who assist the elderly to care for their pets. The event is free, however people are invited to make a gold coin donation at the event, to help the charity continue their work throughout the Bellarine region.
Dogs on leads are welcome, and there will be stalls, kids activities, and food vendors at the park.
Free parking is available in surrounding streets, and in the shopping centre carparks nearby (just make sure you check for any signs advising of time limits).
There is a carpark located opposite the park, between The Avenue and The Parade.
Gates open at 5pm, and there will be pre-movie entertainment before the film screening, which will commence at sundown (around 8pm).
The grass area in front of Grove Pavillion is open, with no shade or shelter, so make sure you check the weather forecast before the event and pack suitable clothing (and sun hats and/or umbrellas, depending on the forecast). Insect repellant may also be a good idea, as there have been quite a few mozzies around during the last few months.
If you're thinking about coming along to this support this community event, the organisers have asked that people register beforehand, to provide them with an indication of numbers, to assist with planning the event.
So come along, and enjoy a fun-filled evening under the stars.
