Delicious food and delicious veiws
Located along the Esplanade, the Ocean Blues Restaurant is situated right in the heart of Esperance's centre, though its open view of the ocean lends it a rather idyllic vibe.
When I first saw the restaurant, I was a bit disheartened. It's small, outdated and painted in a unique vibrant blue colour. I will have to admit, I was doubting the quality of its service.
But as I should have learned from when I ate at Amigos Mexican Restaurant in Bunbury, don't judge the restaurant by its 'cover'. In actual fact, the imperfect front of Ocean Blues is actually something to appreciate, as it sets a very casual and easygoing atmosphere.
The food was remarkable. Maybe a bit on the pricey side but then the serving sizes were massive, so perhaps that makes it worthwhile. The staff were friendly and the establishment is BYO. Overall a fantastic restaurant, suitable for large groups of people. We had a total of 13 people when I went! Also suited for dates and family, seriously just anyone.
A highly recommended restaurant to try when in Esperance.
