Media darlings in a time before social media
Two Melbourne musicians who achieved international success - Percy Grainger and Nellie Melba - are celebrated in this exhibition running at the Grainger Museum from 21st September 2018 to 17th February 2019. Melba, hailed as the greatest opera singer of her time, and child prodigy pianist Grainger, are considered to be amongst the earliest of celebrities whose fame was boosted by their media presence.

The exhibition draws on objects from Arts Centre Melbourne's Australian Performing Arts Collection, and the Grainger Museum.
