In the heart of München's (Munich) pedestrian precinct of Neuhauserstraße, is the historic Oberpollinger department store. Previously known as Karstadt Oberpollinger until 2009, it was opened in 1905. It was a victim of air raids in 1945 and had to be restored. The owners Karstadt expanded the building between 2005 to 2006, making it the second biggest store in Germany.

Today, its 35,000 sqm of shopping space is home to major highend fashion brands including Louis Vuitton, Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci, Fendi etc and a popular stop for residents and tourists alike. Even if you're planning to buy anything, it still an excellent venue to enjoy the historic architecture, elegant interiors and free window shopping.
