Located in Toa Payoh Town Park, the Oasis Taiwan Porridge is best known for serving up family-style Chinese dishes in Singapore. The star staple on many tables is the free flow of porridge containing white rice grains boiled with generous chunks of sweet potatoes.
A myriad of dishes cooked in classic Singaporean Chinese style accompanies the porridge. Another star dish is the sambal. It was not thick and pasty but a full flavoured and generous smacking of dried shrimps and chillies. It makes all the difference to all the dishes that uses it.
