isn't a hugely exciting place for casual visits, but it's a good spot for sportslovers. In fact, it offers sports facilities that you can't find at nearby parks like Normanhurst Park and Headen Park .

For one thing, unlike these parks, Oakleight Oval caters for softball and baseball. And there's not just one, but two diamonds; a senior one and a junior one.

There are also batting cages.

The large oval here can also be used for soccer.

These sports facilities are really the only thing that Oakleigh has to offer, with the other facilities (toilets, a car park, seating etc.) all catering for players and spectators. You will not find a playground, picnic area or a dog park here (if you do bring your dog, it must be kept on a leash at all times).

If you are looking for play equipment for your kids, the closest options are Headen Park and Ruddock Park.
