If you would like to learn more about the Oaklands Wetland, then this hour-long tour might just be the thing for you. You will hear a 30-minute presentation and then head out on a guided walk through the wetland.
The wetland plays an important role in cleaning millions of litres of stormwater each year. The water takes just a few days to move through a series of ponds. It is then used to irrigate local parks, reserves, street trees and playing fields. An array of wildlife including waders, cockatoos and ducks also call the wetland home.
These tours are free, however, bookings are required and can be made online via their
