The is a short walk from the Marion train station in Oaklands Park. It is a sprawling space, with plenty of space for having fun. It can be a good place for playing, picnicking, sport, or just sitting back and relaxing, and there is lots of room to explore.



The playground at Oaklands Estate is nothing special. There are two play areas, and you'll find all the usuals like slides, swings, and more climbing frames. The equipment isn't amazing, so it isn't going to keep older kids entertained for long, but the best bit about the is that there is so much else for them to do.


The park is a great place to walk through, and its common to pass more than one jogger, walker, or runner during your time at the park. It can be great for exercise, but it really excels as a great place for a relaxing stroll. There is a lot of natural beauty at the reserve, from rose gardens to lakes, and it is the perfect place to unwind. While you're at it, you can also enjoy a spot of bird watching. The trees are alive with the sounds of native birds, and there is plenty of duck watching to be done by the lake.





There are picnic tables around the park, where you can sit and enjoy some lunch, and barbecues for a cook-up. There are shaded and non shaded picnic tables, so you can enjoy one in any weather. If you don't need a table, why not bring along a picnic blanket and find another place to sit. There are shady trees to sit under, and a lake that is nice to look over while you eat.





There are fields perfect for playing spot, and plenty of room to let the kids run around or ride their bikes. This is a park that is great for the whole family, everyone will find something to do here.
