Art curator Odette Snellen is proudly presenting the quirky works of painting postman Roger Settle at special exhibition event on Saturday 6th of December, 2014 at the Toorak Bowling Club.
Odette has been hosting one-day exhibition events since 2012 and seeks out artists who create art simply for the love of it. Her artists may be untrained but they remain passionate, as Odette believes the best art comes from a pure heart.
Odette's latest event, entitled 'GTK: Get to Know Roger Settle', will showcase two types of painting styles used by Roger - his romantic folky works and his portraits of animals - 'members of the Wild Kingdom'.
Mr Settle has been painting for decades and is widely known for his sweet quirky paintings. This exhibition event will run from 10am to 6pm and Roger will be available for a chat throughout the day.
Drinks can be purchased at the bar and the Bowls Club will be doing their thing on the lawn - so it's a great day for all. You can even have a game of pool!
There will also be a raffle with a 'really really good' prize up for grabs, as well as a few arts and crafts for sale, which will make for interesting gifts this Christmas.
