Event:

Round up the family and head into Northbridge on the 29th of April when the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority and the City of Perth present 'O' Day 2012 from 10am to 4pm. 'O' Day is a free day of family fun, activities, music and entertainment for all to enjoy.

The event will expand from the Perth Cultural Centre to Northbridge Piazza and along James Street. For the kids, there will be a large variety of activities to participate in, including art and craft events, badge-making, cupcake decoration, a reading challenge, a circus school and theatrical performances taking place in the State Theatre Centre Courtyard.

For those who love their food, be sure to check out the three Northbridge cafes that will be setting up shop at the Northbridge Piazza. Outback Jacks will be flaring up the barbecue to serve Aussie beef, hot dogs, German bratwurst, Vienna frank and chilli dogs. Icey Ice will be selling Japanese hot pot dishes, bubble tea and flavoured snow ice desserts to cool off. Award-winning French bakery Jean Pierre Sancho will have a macaron stand to sell these wonderfully sweet treats.

For others, the day will also feature an array of interactive activities family films, live music (including live jazz at Northbridge Piazza), Indigenous performances, international food stalls, a vintage carousel, as well as an eclectic mix of new boutiques and cafes along William Street.

Northbridge's wonderful restaurants and retailers will also be open for business as usual, while the WA Museum, the State Library and the Art Gallery offer so much more to explore and enjoy. Don't miss out.
