Tribute & superhero shows plus fireworks in Maribyrnong
There is something magical in the festive atmosphere when the clock strikes midnight and a new year begins. Each year, thousands of people are drawn to the banks of the iconic Maribyrnong River for a fun filled night of free live entertainment and a spectacular Fireworks display in Footscray Park from 9.30pm. The line-up for this year's stage events are -

The Tina Turner Tribute Show – this show will include all Tina's greatest hits
Lamine Sonko and the African Intelligence – this is a big band sound of African roots, music, jazz and reggae
BigCityBeat presents The Stuck in the 80s Show
The Amazing Superhero Show – a delight for the children.
MC for the evening proceedings will be Sami Shah, who is a multi-talented writer, comedian, performer and broadcaster currently co-hosting ABC's radio breakfast show.
The night will commence at 6.30pm and conclude at 10.30pm. There will be plenty of food trucks offered a variety of cuisines and beverages. You will not go hungry. Kids will enjoy the carnival rides operating on the evening.
