For at least one day in 2011 (July 10 to be exact) Madison Avenue will be transformed from its usual bustling shopping, working, theatre thoroughfare to an international celebration venue. That's because the 2011 Celebration of Nations Festival will be taking place on Madison Avenue from 42nd Street to 57th Street.
During this event, you can enjoy eating food, viewing arts and crafts, and selecting unique antiques and merchandise for purchase from over 400 vendors. In addition, more than 50 displayers will have cultural and corporate booths set up.
All exhibits, vendors, booths, and other things are set up "midway-style", giving you plenty of room to move from one station to another. You'll have plenty of time to do so, too, because the event starts at 11:00 AM and continues until 6:00 PM.
Admission is free, and although parking is available, you may have to pay if you use public lots or garages. Why not take advantage of New York City's public transportation systems and avoid the hassle of fighting traffic and trying to find a place to park? Leave that to someone else, and enjoy the 2011 Celebration of Nations Festival to the fullest extent that you possibly can.
