If you like macadamia nuts and chocolates, then you have to mosey it down to Nutworks in Yandina. Nutworks is a macadamia nut processing factory that started in the 1990's. From a small business that employed six people, it has turned into a major employer in the Sunshine Coast.

Nutworks sources macadamia nuts from many growing areas in Queensland. Its factory processes the nuts to generate an extensive range of products from raw macadamias to other macadamia-associated goods, such as healthy macadamia oil and macadamia-based cosmetics.

Some of the yummy things that the Nutworks shop sells are raw nuts and seeds, salted and roasted nuts, (beautifully) flavoured macadamia nuts, dried fruit, handmade treats, handmade confectionery, chocolate, chocolate macadamia coffee beans, macadamia pesto, and macadamia jam. Their nuts are not limited to macadamias and they also sell other nut products.

Nutworks factory's kernel processing is seasonal and is open for viewing between April and November. Roasting, panning, enrobing, flavouring, and chocolate-coating are processes done on-site and are open for public-viewing. Chocolate-making workshops are quite popular, especially during school holidays.

If you're looking for out-of-the-ordinary gifts, chances are that you will find something in the Nutworks shop. They have an online shop that offers a wide range of their beautiful products that are available in the shop. Check out the mouth-watering (macadamia) recipes on their website. How about the kangaroo and macadamia salad? You can't get more Aussie than that.

The good thing is that you can order them on-line and they post internationally.
