Nutworks is one of the tourist places in Pioneer Road in Yandina, just off the motorway, that is well worth a visit. Nutworks is all about the Macadamia Nut – or Queensland Nut to use one of its other names. The history of this native nut is most interesting and it is detailed in Nutworks.
Macadamia Nuts
It is in this factory where locally grown
Macadamia nuts are brought for processing, and prepared for markets around Australia and overseas. You will be able to do some taste testing too!
Nutworks
In the shop on the premises, one can purchase all manner of wonderful goodies made from this amazing nut, as well as a wide range of other locally produced products e.g. honey, natural cosmetics and soaps. Of course, there are great souvenir and gift ideas in the shop too.
At the Hardnut Café, you can order a coffee – and enjoy with one of the special items from cakes to savoury dishes - macadamia scones are popular!
During the week, you can view the factory in action from 9 am to 2 pm, but there are no factory tours.
Nutworks is open 7 days a week from 9 am and is free to visit.
There is also an
online shop where you can purchase products – click here to view details about shopping at Nutworks.
