Nutrition Republic, on King William Road in Goodwood, is one of the 3 in Adelaide that claims to be "changing the world one sip at a time". Open 7 days a week, even most public holidays (though there is a surcharge), they offer coffee, sweet treats and savoury delights. Though, if you're a sweet tooth with a propensity for refined sugar, you'll find none of that here.

At Nutrition Republic, they pride themselves on being "predominately plant-based, with all food items being gluten, dairy and refined sugar-free" and use real, naturally and locally sourced, and mostly unprocessed and organic ingredients in all of their café and catering options. Their goal is to improve the lives, in more than one way, of their patrons by offering healthy, delicious and unique food options.

The Nutrition Republic brand has 7 elements in its ethos that essentially offer its patrons the chance to belong to something bigger than just a café experience and while the Goodwood store feels predominately like an upper middle-class brunch location at which you need to wear your Saturday morning 'athleisurewear, their food creations do inspire a little bit of a healthy kick. They're delicately presented, fair sizes and if plants and seeds are your thing, then quite tasty too.

The coffee is on par with that of Delicia or Cibo even, although if you're socially conscious, you'll be pleased to know that at NR they source fair trade and direct trade beans that are roasted locally. They also claim to offer a discount if you BYO your coffee mug, though this might need to be checked due to COVID restrictions. Their prices for coffee start at $1.50 for a babyccino and then upwards from $3.80 for an espresso, a long black, macchiato and piccolo which is on par.

If you're in the Goodwood/Hyde park/King William Road area, then Nutrition Republic should be on your list of places to grab a coffee at, or stop and enjoy their outdoor seating and something unique off their menu.

There is ample outdoor spaces for prams and the likes (with some good shade depending on the time of day), and even a dog bowl of water if you walk your furry friend there too, but be mindful there are no pets allowed inside (Guide Dogs being the exception obviously). It would however be tight, but possibly manageable for a pram to go inside.
