The perfect bribe to spend time with your kids
These winter school holidays are about to feel a whole lot warmer with all the activities that the O'Brien Group Arena has available. With four Nutcracker activity zones being open from June 25th to July 10th for all ages to enjoy, you'll soon forget about Melbourne's cold weather and get back to enjoying the holidays while they last.

The four activity zones are as follows:

Nutcracker on Ice -

Three 15 minute Nutcracker shows on ice telling the heartwarming story of a toy nutcracker who comes to life at midnight on Christmas Eve. This will be for everyone to enjoy between 11:30am to 2:30pm every day, starting June 27th. Public previews of the ice show will also be on June 25th and 26th from 11:30am to 2:30pm for those who wish to have a sneak peak.

Enchanted Chalet -

A range of craft activities are available for children to take part in, including decorating nutcracker and gingerbread men between 10:30am and 2:30pm every day.

Winter Chill Out Zone -

This zone is exactly as it sounds: a place to chill out. Those who have had enough of the ice can come here between 11:30am and 2:30pm daily to enjoy winter movies and a chance to meet the characters from the Nutcracker.

Skating -

Public skating - Every day from 9am until late public skating across two Olympic sized ice rinks will be available, with DJ's providing musical entertainment.

Under 8's Ice Fun - From 9am to 11am daily, this is the perfect place for toddlers to experience a completely different experience with toys, games, music, and Ice Ambassadors nearby to ensure both parents and children are able to have fun.

Free lessons: Beginners - Lessons specially made for non-skaters to give them the required skills in order to enjoy their day. Complimentary with entry.

Free lessons: How to Skate Backwards - Designed for already confident skaters who are looking to enhance their skills. Every hour, every day from 11am to 2pm. Complimentary with entry.
