Tickets cost between 30,000 and 75,000 Rupiah, with lower prices for locals and higher rates at weekends.
Inside you'll find fields of flower lights, a magical forest, and lanterns in all shapes and sizes, including a towering dragon. It's a real transformation of this usually empty park area.
The impressive centrepiece
The festival is open from 5pm until 10pm each evening. The lanterns are best viewed when it gets dark after 6pm but there is plenty to do if you arrive before then.
To the left of the entrance is a long row of food stalls selling something for every taste, from nasi goreng to BBQ ribs. Further around is a play area with trampolines, bumper cars, and an inflatable slide for the kids. All of these are ticketed at 20,000 - 30,000 Rupiah.
Up on stage there are various musical performances throughout the evening, beginning with a gamelan show. You can sit on the grass and soak up the atmosphere or enjoy the sounds as you wander around the park.
