I'm a travelling mother of one, from the UK but now living in Indonesia. Looking forward to sharing day out ideas with you.
Celebrate the best of Bali
If you're in the Nusa Dua area towards the end of October, you're in for a treat. It's the annual Nusa Dua Fiesta taking place at Peninsula Island, The Nusa Dua. Festivals in Bali are somewhat of a highlight and something the island does very well.
The World Tourism Organisation rates the Nusa Dua Tourism Area highly, and this event really showcases why. It celebrations all aspects of Indonesia with its live music and food markets.
Known as the People's Party, it has been running for 22 years now. Due to its popularity, local, national and international artists have stepped on the stage to entertain the crowds. But it's not just the music on show. During the 3-day long event, you'll be treated to body art competitions, ogoh ogoh parades, a fashion show and cultural performances to name a few.
The line up this year includes street parades with striking floats and as the sunsets, the stage lights up with mesmerising fire dancers. In fact, each day has its own themes – Day 1 is Colouring the Beauty of Bali, which includes a body art competition. Day 2 is the Culture Festival highlighting the diversity in Indonesian arts and culture. And finally, day 3 is the music festival.
