Nuriootpa is a historical town in the Barossa Valley located approximately 82 kilometres north-east of Adelaide via Gawler.
In the heart of the town along Tanunda Road, is a beautiful park called the . A very long and spacious park, it is a great place to stop and take a break or have a picnic while in the Barossa Valley.
The park has shady gum trees with lots of picnic tables scattered around the spacious green lawns. There are also shaded BBQ areas.
In the park are many play equipment for children as well as a range of activity equipment for all ages. There is a big black locomotive for children to climb and explore. There are swings, slides, spring see-saw, and a red, stubby fire engine. There is also an enclosed area for a special Variety Club Swing, suitable for people with wheelchairs.
The park is very clean and has clean toilet facilities. There are also lots of off-road free parking alongside the park.
