If your are wanting to grab some fresh produce for the week, this is a great little 'Farmers Market to get into and shop from. Located in an area on one side of the Nundah train station, it's really easy to park on one side and stroll across the other, to the markets. A fairly small market, however exceptionally good for your fruit and vegetables.
Friends of mine told me about this market recently as they buy from here every week. They particularly like the availability of their 'Asian greens' as some of these Asian varieties are not easy to get from the supermarkets. They invited me along this Sunday morning to show me around and introduce me to the place.
As Nundah is a cultural hub with many Asian and Indian residents, you will also find Indian spices and interesting herbs that you can use to spice up your life, with more flavoursome food.
Additionally you will find seafood, butchers meats, cheeses, pancakes, burgers, arts and crafts, clothes, herbs, flowers, and of course, great coffee. It is always good to grab a coffee on arrival and walk around sipping it, while sussing out what you might like to buy.
If Nundah is not too far out of your own residential area come along next Sunday, but remember to bring shopping bags with you. I didn't expect to buy so much and with the weight of my fruit and veggies in the small plastic bags they provide, I had to make a couple of trips back and forth to the car.
