This is truly a market of artisans. Many practice their skills while manning their stall. Some were womaning their stall.

This was a large market. Apart from the usual numerous stalls along the service road and under the veranda of the civic centre, two inside rooms were full of stalls.

Teapots are almost a rarity these days, so I was surprised to see a colourful range of teapot cosies. To cover all bases, coffeepot cosies were also available.

The maker of the tea and coffee cosies said that loose leaf teas were making a comeback. This was borne out by Kerry-Ann who makes hand-crafted tea blends under the name of Twig Tea.

Many hand-knitted products were available from many stalls.

If passing one stall you feel you are being watched, you probably are, by a number of very life-like mannequin heads wearing warm and colourful beanies.

Miss Cuddles, aka, Liz, displayed a huge range of her cushions.

Art and craft markets are ideal places to buy a gift for someone who thinks they have everything. How about a unique tealight featuring their favourite tipple. They are actually candles with the base of the liquor bottle removed and sitting over the tealight.

Exquisite by design and detail was a range of eggs, certainly not the eating variety.

Wood products are always attractive and Stephen's Recycled Wooden Things were not only attractive but practical.

Wooden toys with a difference would be an accurate description of Matt Brennan's woodcraft. They are unique, detailed and a joy to just look at.

Another unique range of products is MD, Market Delights. The delights are hard to describe. They are mostly silhouettes all hand-cut by George with his ultra-fine fretsaw. They are real works of art.

For all the little princesses, Blitz for Bubs would be a must stop. The range is extensive and handmade by Kaitlyn.

Shades of Tui are handmade lampshades made by Tui. They would brighten up any room with their colourful designs and patterns.

There were only a few food stalls and disappointedly not one coffee outlet.

Only two stalls were selling plants. Potted plants and cacti in small containers.

This art, craft and produce market is held on the fourth Sunday of the month. The dates for the rest of 2022 are listed on the card below.

Most markets are an interesting morning out, even if you don't buy anything, but rarely does that happen, especially this one at the Whitehouse civic Centre.
