The Nunawading Market Craft Market is already a popular meeting place for locals and lovers of quality art, craft and fresh produce. Featuring over 70 stalls all falling under the banner of Make It. Bake It. Grow It. The Nunawading Craft Market is one to put on your calendar right now. It appears on the 4th Sunday of every month at the Whitehorse Civic Centre.
Sprawled throughout an indoor and outdoor area at the Whitehorse Civic Centre, the market is well attended in all sorts of weather. And managed by Arts Nunawading Inc, all money raised by the market is put back into cultural, performing and visual arts around the City of Whitehorse.
The stallholder list on the Arts Nunawading Inc website is extensive and impressive. It seems there is nothing you can't get here, especially if you are looking for something special or unique. There's lead-light giftware, candle holders, Christmas decorations, knitwear and vintage brooches. Or perhaps you're more interested in model ships, fairy dolls, jewellery or kitchen décor.
Other stallholders offer handmade baskets, soap dishes, quilts and a range of Manchester, as well as knitted toys and dolls. Mixing it up are the ceramics, stationery, trinket boxes, pot pourri bags, scatter cushions and wheat bags. Then for outside discover concrete figures, plants, seedlings, flowers and more.
Feel good look good with the assorted health and beauty products on hand. Gift soaps, bath bombs, bath crystals and lavender bags mingle with aromatherapy products and essential oils, body sprays, lotions, creams and more.
Baby and children don't miss out with products such as nappy cakes, children's knitwear and coat-hangers, cardigans, dresses and toys, bibs, blankets and mobiles, singles and clothes.
Jewellery and fashion accessories include scarves and crocheted items, beaded watches, necklaces and key rings, earrings, buttons and glass beads.
Then there's the fresh produce and gourmet food. No market is complete without a food section. Try fresh and hot Italian meatballs or Dutch poffertjes for a little treat. Kids can enjoy lollipops, fruit juices and homemade ice cream, or tuck into something hearty like homemade soup or bacon & eggs rolls. You'll also find duck eggs, free-range eggs, honey, cakes, slices, quiche and cordial, and berries when in season.
With food and coffee available, you will literally want for nothing.
New stallholders are currently being sought, and as an added incentive attend 3 markets and get the 4th market free. (Conditions apply)
