Altona's family pizza and pasta restaurant bar
I won't start this review as a cliché by saying, Numero Uno Pizza Pasta Bar make the best pizza in Altona. However, what I will say is, from the pizza I have tried in Altona, Numero Uno really know how to make pizza.

On Saturday, we decided to have dinner down at Altona near the beach. It was a tossup between pizza or fish and chips. The pizza idea won. We ordered three pizzas from them; one Margherita (large $10) and two Meat Lovers (large $14 each) and a garlic bread ($2.80). Each of the pizza's had heaps of cheese, sauce and toppings; like a good pizza should. The pizza base and crust was made and cooked to perfection. The base was thick, but not too thick; crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

Apart from pizza, Numero Uno does a selection of pasta dishes ($9 - $13), parmigianas ($14.50 - $17.50) and salads ($6 - $13). I have never tried any of these other dishes, however, when I was ordering I saw other patrons ordering these dishes and they looked delicious. Also, they have a big range of assorted flavoured tubbed ice cream. They stock Ben & Jerry's (100ml tub $3.95 and 485ml $11.95), Gelati (500ml tub $5) and Aurora Ice Cream Dessert ($4.50 each).

I must add, their customer service is fantastic. Lots of smiles from the staff and the orders where made really quickly.
There is a lovely park across the road, with heaps of trees which provides lots of shade on a sunny day and a playground for the kids. We decided to eat in the park, as Numero Uno was really packed and noisy. There are plenty of tables inside Numero Uno, however, they do get really busy around dinnertime, as they are a popular pizza place.

I definitely recommend Numero Uno Pizza Pasta Bar if you feel like properly made, delicious pizza in the park or by the sea side.

Your Comment
I'm sorry but I don't agree with you the way you described pizza on this article, the real pizza should be thin crispy with less toppings specially no to much cheese.
