Bold art is going mainstream!
It seems that nudity is in vogue as both the
Museum of Contemporary Art and
Art Gallery of New South Wales are incorporating nakedness as a way in which to view art and a way to express art, respectively.
Strip down to your birthday suit and join artist Stuart Ringholt's as he takes you along in his after-hours
Naked Tour as part of the Museum of Contemporary Art's 25th anniversary celebrations.
Art-lovers are given the chance to experience the MCA collection in their most natural state, allowing nothing to come between them and the artistic visuals, both by way of clothing and mind. Whilst tickets have
sold out , bold art-lovers should keep an eye out for similar events in the future.
The Art Gallery of New South Wales has collaborated with the Sydney Dance Company to create over
100 live nude representations of paintings, sculptures, photographs and prints by renowned artists including Picasso, Freud, Matisse, Bourgeois and Dumas. The use of the dancer's bodies presents a highly unique and interesting interpretation of some of the most classic and meaningful works of international art.
This dynamic collision of art and the human body will be exhibiting until 5 February 2017 and tickets can be purchased
here .
