This odd looking little building perched on Beaconsfield Parade is the home of one of Melbourne's best brunch hangouts, NSHRY.

The Japanese inspired café menu ranges from traditional breakfast items with a twist, such as spicy eggs on toast to a decadent French toast with caramelised bananas, bacon, and kaya honey syrup.

If you're after something more substantial, perhaps a post-Mad Monday restorative, the Umami Burger is really special.

This pocket rocket of a burger looks compact, but packs a massive flavour punch, and the sauces are delightful with the side of tempura onion rings. Do not attempt to eat this with a knife and fork, and make sure you have a napkin handy.

As we come into some warmer Melbourne weather, make sure you get to NSHRY early to snag a seat looking over the bay, or on those days when the skies are grey and the wind is bitter, hustle in to fight over seats beneath the amazing floating wood ceiling.

[ADVERT]Thursday nights are open for dinner, but you have to remember to make a booking, as places are limited. I almost thought twice about writing this review because I didn't want you all to swoop upon my favourite coffee spot, but it's just too good not to share.
