As its name suggests, NRMA Victor Harbor Beachfront Holiday Park is located beachfront in Victor Harbor on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula. It offers a fun-filled family atmosphere with a splash park, waterslide, pump track, bouncing pillow, heated swimming pool, playground and recreation room to keep the kids entertained. Granite Island isn't far away either if you'd like to explore the great outdoors while you're there.

Our short getaway started with a very smooth check-in process. The friendly staff was even ready to give me a rundown of the local attractions. However, as we were in town for a specific purpose, I kindly declined and headed straight to our studio accommodation for a rest.

These air-conditioned cabins, well, more like motel rooms, are set within a grassed area next to designated car parking spaces. They have an en-suite bathroom, television, bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities as well as seating both indoors and outdoors. With regards to bedding configuration, you can request for either one king bed or two single beds. Although not mentioned on their website, our room actually had a microwave and toaster too which was a pleasant surprise - it made my dinner preparations just that bit easier! Alternatively, everything you would need to cook up a storm can be found in the nearby camp kitchen and barbecue area.

Other accommodation options include villas for four to six people with, or without, views of the bay, as well as access-friendly and pet-friendly cabins. En-suite and powered caravan and tent sites are also available. One of my previous stays was in a two-bedroom cabin which catered well for the whole family. It featured a full kitchen, dining setting and lounge in addition to two double beds and a single bunk.

Finally, as a bonus, RAA members like myself get to save 10% on our stays. All you need to do is quote your membership number upon booking. So, be sure to check out their website before deciding on your next holiday destination. I've stayed here three times and am happy to recommend it to anyone looking for clean, comfortable and value-for-money accommodation in the ever-popular Victor Harbor.

I like this type of accommodation Audrey. They are a good alternative to motels having more room both inside and outside.
