The
Stonnington Library and Information Service runs a plethora of events throughout the year, and mentioned here are some of the highlights so you don't miss out. Do check out their
'What's On' page on the website for all other event details and regular programs they run like 'Rhymetime' for little tots, and so on, at various venues within the City of Stonnington.
Do note that some free events still require booking, and some listed events eg. workshops, are ticketed at a small fee.
As a film buff I can't go past
Beama Streamers , which is a weekly event. BYO popcorn and refreshments and check out the
film schedule that runs
every Friday from 1-3.30pm (the next film event is on 1 Nov, and every week thereafter) at the Malvern Library at 1255 High St, Malvern. Enjoy the film, then stay on afterwards to chat with others about the film. You'll find classic cinema, feature films, and independent documentaries. Did you know that the library has two film and music online resources available to stream or download for free with your library membership?
See here to access both Beamafilm and Kanopy and watch films for free.
