A visit to the Sydney Royal Easter Show is not complete until you have sampled one, or more, of the novelty foods on offer. We're not talking about your standard carnival fare of fairy floss, dagwood dogs or cheese on a stick here. No, we're talking about trending new taste sensations that come complete with their own hashtag and social media following.

So here are the newest novelty foods on offer at the Sydney Royal Easter Show this year and where to find them.

Cheesecake On A Stick

The dessert lovers won't want to miss this one - it's a marvel of modern food technology - it's Cheesecake on a stick. The tough decision will be which flavour to choose - crushed Ferrero covered in warm Nutella, caramel crumble covered in a Golden Gaytime crumb or white chocolate and wild berry topped with white chocolate Tim Tams.

Where to find it - Big Tony's on Orana Parade and Bianco Kitchen in the Woolworths Fresh Food Dome

Coffee In A Cone**

If you want to take your morning or afternoon cuppa to the next level this one is for you. Coffee in a Cone features a delicious waffle cone, it's interior coated in chocolate to make it leak-proof, then filled with your hot cup of joe. As the chocolate melts your flat white magically transforms in to a delicious mocha.

Where to find it: Adore Coffee, Riverina Avenue

Spaghetti Bun Burger

Who says you can't have it all? For the times when you need a comforting meal of spaghetti and meatballs but can't be bothered sitting down or finding that pesky cutlery. The Spaghetti Bun Burger solves this problem by combining the convenience of a burger with the savoury delights of spaghetti and meatballs. Here's how it works. Instead of a hamburger bun you will get a fresh, crispy bun made from spaghetti which is filled with a Sicilian inspired meatball and Nonna's secret tomato sauce.

Where to find it: Bianco Kitchen at The Graze in the Daily Telegraph Paddock

Donut Pie

It looks like a doughnut but tastes like a pie, introducing the Donut Pie. Created by Mick's Bakery, the Donut Pie features golden pie pastry and a filling of your choice - beef, spinach and fetta, bangers and mash or dulce de leche and apple. Weird optical and sensory illusion or just plain genius - you decide!

Where to find it: Mick's Bakery on Monaro Street or Petey Pie Bakery in the Woolworths Food Farm

StroopBros Ice Cream Sandwich**

Definitely one for the sweet tooths, the StroopBros ice cream sandwich is hand-made to order with your favourite sauces, sprinkles and toppings

Where to find it - at StroopBros Food Truck in the Food Truck Feedlot, Hawkesbury Street

New to the Sydney Royal Easter Show this year is the Food Truck Feedlot located on Hawkesbury Street, between Spotless Stadium and the Woodchop Stadium. Here you will find a variety of both new and traditional meal options from your favourite food truck outlets.

Other food precincts to visit at the Easter Show this year include The Woolworths Fresh Food Dome (home of the district exhibits), The Stables on Hawkesbury Street, the Big Bush BBQ on Orana Parade, Spotless Stadium and the Daily Telegraph Paddock.

Don't panic if your prefer more traditional treats when you visit the Show as your favourite classic Easter Show foods are still available - from the humble cheese toastie, to sugary fairy floss or some delicious scones with jam and cream from the Country Women's Association Tea Room. Healthier food choices can also be found in the Woolworths Fresh Food Dome and will include vegan and gluten free options.

The 2018 Sydney Royal Easter Show will run from 23rd March until the 3rd April 2018 at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park. The gates open at 9am every day.
