The City of Stonnington Library and Information Service is offering this workshop to writers and those aspiring to be writers. The Novel Writing for Beginners workshop will be presented by author and creative writing teacher Dr Jacqueline Ross.


WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:The two-hour workshop is aimed at adult writers and will include:
The elements that make a compelling story—plot, character, setting, dialogue, voice, point of view,
Writing exercises and
Feedback on your work if you want to share.

This is an ideal opportunity to dip your toe in the water, to find out what you need to find out more about and through the writing exercises be inspired to forge ahead with your dream of writing your own novel.


JAQUELINE ROSS is the author of the following novels:
Blackwater—‘A baby will ever be born at Blackwater.’
The Third Room—'When she discovers a trapdoor set into the floor, she begins a strange and enchanting adventure.’
Messy Business—‘A romantic comedy about babies, playgroup, politics, sex and relationships.
Jacqueline has also written non-fiction books, short stories, and feature articles.
