A newcomer to Melbourne, I love exploring the city and sourrounds by day and night, finding bargains, learning new things, the great outdoors and Melbourne life in general.

Best breakfast in Williamstown
Novel Kitchen is a real find. Serving breakfast, snacks and lunch, everything is home cooked, wholesome and organic. They only source free range chicken and eggs and bio-dynamic beef. The coffee is, needless to say, Fair Trade.

My favourite dish is the avocado with salsa on toast - I have it every time I breakfast at Novel Kitchen.

The menu changes are based on the availability of ingredients. Lunch options include salads, bakes, lasagne, pies and soup and there is a variety of fresh juices. Vegetarians and vegans are well catered for.

The cafe is clean and bright with indoor and outdoor seating and I have always found the wait staff to be efficient and pleasant. They are happy to adapt the menu and it's very family friendly. Please note, payment is cash only.

Walls are covered with promotions for Melbourne events or local charities. On this note, the last ocassion I visited, Novel Kitchen was offering to meet the adoption fees of two dogs needing a home. Obviously the owners are lovely people.

You can also pick something up to take away (don't forget the chocolate mud cake) or stock up on frozen meals ready to cook later.

Next time you are in Williamstown head to Novel Kitchen for fresh, delicious food. You won't be disappointed.
