Located along Ann Street in Stepney, is where you can enjoy tasty cafe food that places a focus on dishes in which vegetables have the starring role. Aside from its main menu offerings, the café also has a selection of pastries and cakes for those looking for a quick eat.

The zucchini and corn fritters in their Breakfast Fritters had a light texture and were fried sufficiently to give them a nice golden-brown colour. The smoked salmon partnered nicely with the fritters and the poached eggs had lovely runny yolks. Served with the fritters were spinach and cherry tomatoes dressed with balsamic vinegar, and house-made relish that had a delectable smoky taste.

We liked that the roasted cauliflower and chickpeas in the Curry Cauli Bowl still retained a bit of bite. The curry spices gave them a bit of spice. Currants imparted a hint of sweetness to the dish and the green goddess dressing added freshness without drowning out the rocket and quinoa. Completing the dish was puffed rice for some crunch and edible flowers for visual flair.

One of the pastries available during our visit, the Mocha Croissant had a light texture and the mocha filling had a good amount of mocha flavour. A decoration of cocoa-dusted coffee beans reinforced the mocha flavour of the pastry.

The décor of the café gave it a homey feel. Customers have the choice of indoor or outdoor seating. If you are looking for a place offering café food that is friendly for vegetarians, consider giving Nourish'd Kitchen a visit.
