This prominent proboscis protrudes from the playground at Colmslie Beach Reserve in Morningside. It’s a rather unusual sculpture, especially considering the nautical theme of this park. Also known as the Octopus Garden, there is a huge octopus to climb inside, giant fish to slide down, and musical boat to play a tune on. Located beside the Brisbane River, not far from the Gateway Bridge, there are also steps leading down to a small beach. It’s a great place to catch up with pals for a picnic, with plenty of tables and barbecues available.
