Be Italian for a Day
The Norton Street Festa (Italian Festival Sydney) has been running for more than 29 years and with over 125,000 visitors year, it is the biggest community street festival in Australia. This year the festival is back on Sunday 30 October 2016 from 10am to 5pm in Leichhardt (Sydney's Little Italy) and it will be full of fun, traditional Italian food, music and colourful activities for everyone to enjoy.

This is probably the largest street festival in Sydney and this cultural festival plays a significant role in the local community as an authentic celebration of the Italian culture that underpins Leichhardt's local heritage.

I have participated the Festa for a number of years and every year I was thoroughly impressed by the passion and professionalism of the Italian community, as well as the ongoing success of this memorable local event.

This Italian Festa will deliver a sensory extravaganza to the entire family. Authentic Italian culinary creations will hold a prominent position in the festival. There will be free cooking demonstrations by the best Italian professional chefs and the best local Italian Nonnas! My vote is on the Nonnas to come up the tastiest home-cooked reminding everyone that home is where the stomach is!
Divine Pistachio Cronuts ($3.50 each)
This is the best festival to savour tasty Italian treats and drink delectable Italian wine.

The kids will be entertained by heaps of colourful carnival rides, jumping castles, animal nursery, face painting and puppet shows, while the parents can enjoy concerts, live entertainment and dancing competitions throughout the day.
Dads and guys can linger around some awe-inspiring Italian fine automobiles! Last year there were Vespa display, as well as sexy Alfa Romeo cars.
But there is more! This year, the Leichhardt Business Council offers a lucky draw for 2 return tickets to Italy flying Alitalia/Etihad as part of the special program for the Festa. See Information Booth for entry forms. You might be the lucky winner!
