Come to this inaugural summer festival
The inaugural Northside Summer Festival will be staged in February 2019 and celebrate everything and anything that is unique about North and West Melbourne.
The program for this event will be full of entertainment such as live music, comedy, delicious food, drinks and local trader events. It will go on for 8 days from 16th to 23rd February at several different venues in the vicinity.
Here there will be something for all ages - perhaps you would enjoy a walking tour or night shopping? There will also be children's activities and local street performers.
This is a great opportunity for some drinking and fabulous dining in North and West Melbourne. There will be some exclusive dining experiences, beer and wine tastings and a Northside summer cocktail will be invented especially for the occasion.
But wait - there's more! There will also be a community block party as a way of thanking all the neighbours for being so awesome! The Northside Block Party is being held on Saturday 16th February in Eades Park, corner King and Chetwynd Street, West Melbourne. You will be able to bask in the sunshine with your friends and family and eat the delicious street food while you listen to live entertainment.
Bring along the children, your friends, pets and your picnic rugs and come down for this party. As well as the entertainment and food there will be music, comedy, and beer and cider from local producers.
The children's program will be from 10.00 am till 12.15 pm, while the official opening and Welcome to Country will go from 12.15 pm till 1.00 pm. This will be followed by the live music and comedy from 1.00 pm till 8.00 pm. You can learn more and register for this free party at this link.
The festival will be produced by the North & West Melbourne Precinct Association with support from the City of Melbourne.
On 21st February from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm, there will be the launch Party at Bobbie Peels, 351 Queensberry Street, North Melbourne.
The tickets for this event will cost $20 and you will get complimentary canapes and drinks throughout the evening. The venue will still be open to the public and there is no charge to get in, however, the ticket price will cover drinks for the Launch Party visitors.
