The North Side Produce market is having its 10th birthday this month and there will be some extra goings-on at the market to celebrate.

the second oldest produce market in Sydney and is run by the North Sydney Community Centre. Apart from the regular fresh market produce from over 60 farmers, this months celebrations will include even more fresh-from-the-farm food, a selection of muesli and fresh fruits, a range of meats, wine, cheese and yummy desserts.

The market will be held in Civic Park, between Council and Stanton Library on Miller St, North Sydney, and will include demonstrations by local foodies including Jared Ingersoll and Damien Heads. The centre of the action will be the longest dining table in Sydney - an impressive 14 metres long.

If you are feeling lucky you can try you hand at the raffle coupon draw for which the tickets are going to be on sale.

For kids, there's an animal farm and activities like cup cake baking & decorating and the chance to see goat milking and butter making.

A designated area - Green on the Green - will showcase sustainable practices such as Urban Chook Farming, Veggie Growing and Wall Gardens, Solar and Water Tanks, Bushcare, Composting and Wormfarming.
