The Northern Star Hotel is a traditional Irish pub in Beaumont Street Hamilton. Established in 1877 it gained a reputation as a top seller of Guinness in 1996 due to the local Irish community and in 2003 the family-owned pub was renovated and decorated in an Irish style.



Finn McCool's eatery offers a range of Australian classics as well as traditional Irish meals. The restaurant area is large and there is an alfresco area as well as indoor booths and tables. Children are catered for with $12 kids meals, there are regular specials and the food is generous, tasty and well priced.



Live music in the beer garden and the front bar on weekends, gaming machines and a bottle shop add to the entertainment. The staff are very friendly, the beers are cold and pints of Guinness are $6 all day every day.



In addition, there is refurbished accommodation from $90 per night with shared facilities and ensuite rooms from $125 per night upstairs.
