The annual North Sydney Children's festival is back with another inspirational, exciting and innovative theme, the "Creative Playground". This year's theme aims to inspire young visitors imaginations with a wide range of entertainment and activities set in a massive playground for the perfect day out.

This free event will have a butterfly garden, live performances, music, art and craft performances, a drumming workshop, a petting zoo, face painting, hula hooping, story time in a tee-pee and more. Free art and craft activities are provided by local community groups including playgroups, early childhood centres, kindergartens, after school care and scout groups. The council also has stalls for the local library, Bushcare and environmental sustainability.

A wide range of food covering Indian, Chinese, Filipino, Middle Eastern cuisines and Gozleme will be on site to deal with rumbling tummies. Gelato will be on offer, along with coffee. A sausage sizzle will be run by the scouts group.

This popular event runs from 10 am till 2 pm. The venue is serviced by public transport. Paid and free parking available in the nearby streets. For more information check the North Sydney Council website.
