A Brisbane-based mum and writer, I love nothing more than a day out with family and friends.

Escape the city (and the usual coasts) for a relaxing Easter break that will leave you feeling like you actually had a holiday.

And a holiday at Amity Point, North Stradbroke Island, will do just that, as it is serenity on a stick.

Peaceful and quiet with friendly locals, great fishing and calm waters that are perfect for the small children (not to mention the amazing sunsets), it is no wonder that visitors like me keep coming back to Amity Point.

Visit for last minute Easter bookings. You can hop on the barge with your car and before you know it, you'll be settled into your beach house rental, with a glass of vino, enjoying the sunset.
