North South Park
is one of those lovely little additions to a neighbourhood that make a suburb a community. While Bentleigh has
no shortage of great parks
, offers a simple but very unique charm.
Sitting at the intersection or North and South Avenue, and just a 2 minute walk from Patterson station, the park at the time of writing holds no signage, little decor indicating it as a local landmark, and may leave some tempted to say little to write about when it comes to detailing what makes it great.
Yet, just the same as some local spots are big
, much beloved
, and iconic
, so too are the little parks like this one great because they are somewhat regular and commonplace. With two separate playground sets though, North South does indeed offer something uncommon in the local area.
With two separate slides, monkey bars, rocking toys and more, there is much fun to be had and surely many fun competitions that can be dreamt up between younger visitors one afternoon or weekend.
And, with a water tap, chairs, tables, and greenery in the surrounds, it's also a pretty spot for mum and dad to kick back for a time while smaller members of the family master some new monkey bar tricks.
: from whatever direction you arrive, you'll be happy to have made a visit.
