The North Shore Craft Group (NSCG), founded in 1957, has had a very long tradition of fostering the unique talents of craftspeople from the area and bringing their exquisite creations to the public through their exciting exhibitions.
Over four fun-filled days this Winter, the NSCG is proudly presenting their 60th Anniversary Exhibition & Sale at Thornleigh Community Centre.
Opening on Thursday 13th July 2107 from 10am, this four-day extravaganza will showcase a diverse range of amazing works by past and present artisans including gold & silver jewellery, wearable arts and fashion accessories, original paintings, glass and ceramic wares, handwoven textiles, leatherwork, enamelling, wool and silk felting, hand-painted and eco printed garments and more. Don't miss this rare opportunity to view 6 decades of arts and crafts and acquire original pieces for your collection. Entry is free and all are welcome to attend.
As part of the festivities there is a Swinging 60s Member's Challenge, plus the chance to win $200 to spend at the show.
The opening night event will take place on Thursday 13th July at 7pm and will be opened by artist Barbara Konkolowicz. The exhibition and sale event will then continue on Friday 14th & Saturday 15th July from 10am to 5pm and Sunday 16th July, from 10 to 4pm.
Hornsby CWA will have a range of refreshments onsite, including light lunches, tea & scones, coffee & cake. Wheelchair access is available at the venue and there is easy parking next door in the Bunnings car park.
