Fun Free Family Affair
With Student Free Day on Monday, why not bring the kids along to North Lakes State College Multicultural Carnivalon Sunday 16th October and shake up your weekend!
Kicking off at 12:00PM with FREE ENTRY the day is set to delight and entice the whole family with markets stalls, carnival rides, competitions and performances by fabulous local talents including Colin Rhys-Jones and Urban Dance Energy featuring Swagamama's Mark Barber (Finalist in AGT 2013!) plus much, much more! And if that is not enough: There will be HELICOPTER RIDES available throughout day starting at $35 for 5 minutes or $65 for 10 minutes.
The kids will have fun travelling around the world as they "Follow The Flags" through the Carnival Markets and participate in other exciting and free competitions. Parents - why not travel along and try some of the exciting exotic cuisines that will be on offer on the day including Indo-Pacific delicacies as well as traditional Aussie snacks like the ever favourite Dagwood Dog! After the food (or perhaps before!) you can challenge yourselves to the Obstacle Courses and Wipe Out Games and other good old fashioned carnival rides! (age/or height restrictions may apply to some rides and activities).
Armbands can be pre-purchased through the school for unlimited rides at $25 for Junior Rides and $30 for the thrill rides! On the day purchases will be $35 for Junior Rides and $40 for Thrill rides or individual rides can be purchased at $5 and $7 per ride.
The fun, food and atmosphere will keep going until late, with a fabulous fireworks presentation to wrap up the day at 7:30 after the winners of the all the raffles and competitions have been announced. Come and enjoy the day with us, as we celebrate the vibrant multicultural community we live in!
