Besides a strong mining heritage, Wallaroo has many beautiful beaches and is one of the most popular coastal escapes on the Yorke Peninsula.. Just a two-hour drive from Adelaide, you can find one of the last remaining beaches in South Australia that you are able to drive your car down on to the sand, North Beach Wallaroo, Yorke Peninsula. You can park near the water's edge and be hitting the waves in no time.

North Beach in Wallaroo has plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the wide white sandy beaches and the great outdoors, being over two kilometres long. White sands and crystal waters are so inviting to picnic in this area, even during the cool months. Otherwise, the North Beach picnic area also provides extensive undercover shelter.

Can't find many sea shells around North Beach, but you can find every now and again an ice cream truck calling their customer with their well-known music at this beach.
