I am always looking out for new experiences, wherever I may find myself.
Featuring Emily Rodda, John Marsden and Cartoon Dave
The Norman Lindsay Festival of Children's Literature, also known as Puddin' Day, is a special event that takes place each year at the Norman Lindsay Gallery and Museum in Faulconbridge in the Blue Mountains. This year, it will be held on Sunday April 14, from 10.00am.
The event is a day to celebrate children's literature (and in particular, Lindsay's ever-popular The Magic Pudding). It's very family-friendly and will feature games and entertainment, bush ballads, cooking demonstrations, bush walks, a colouring competition. Dressing up is encouraged and there will be prizes for the best costumes. There will also be a sausage sizzle and refreshments, and even a Pudding Hunt.
Talks and workshops on writing and illustration will also take place throughout the day. The guest speakers this year are Dave Hackett (Cartoon Dave), John Marsden (author of The Tomorrow Series and The Ellie Chronicles) and Emily Rodda (author of the Rowan of Rin, Deltora Quest and Rondo series as well as many other books for adults and children).
Tickets for Puddin' Day cost $15.00 each, or $50.00 for a group of four (children 3 years and under don't need a ticket). You can buy them here.
