Nordburger is a burger joint located in Norwood, next door to the bookstore on The Parade. Seating is limited so it is recommended to arrive early to avoid the peak lunch time crowds.



They serve a variety of beef burgers with various fillings and a vegetarian burger with a crumbed Portobello Mushroom as the patty. My father's and my favourite burger is the Hotburger; it has jalapenos and chipotle sauce that add a nice zing to the burger and is wonderfully contrasted by the cool and crisp coleslaw.



If the burgers do not appeal to you, Nordburger also sells hotdogs accompanied by a variety of toppings. Of the hot dogs sold, my favourites are the Chicago and Chilli Dog. The Chilli Dog had a delicious and slightly spicy beef chilli sauce which was set off nicely by the other toppings of the hotdog.



To accompany the burgers and hot dogs, you can order crinkle cut chips, sprinkled with salt or chipotle powder or Tater Tots, which can be best described as resembling miniature hash browns. The Tater Tots were wonderfully crisp and fluffy and offer a welcome change from the usual French fries sold at places like this.



One of the most notable things about Nordburger is the variety of drinks. Aside from Coke, Pepsi and milkshakes, they also sell a variety of soft drinks that are rarely seen in Australia such as Dr Pepper, Cactus Cooler and A & W Root Beer.



Prices are also reasonable, the burgers and hot dogs costing around $8 and the chips and Tater Tots costing around $3.
