Deepen your Noosa relaxation in tranquil luxury
Noosa is well known for its luxurious, relaxing beach holidays, and a spa visit is a great way to continue your relaxation out of the sun.

A tranquil environment for "me time

Walking through Noosa Springs golf and spa resort, I get a hint of the peace I'm about to be treated to as I pass rainforest gardens with running waterfalls.

While waiting in the reception area, a refreshing lemon drink is a beautiful beginning to a couple of hours of rest and rejuvenation.

Although the spa offers everything from flotation sessions to mud wraps to facials, I can never go past a massage.

After my lemon drink I'm shown to a locker containing my fluffy white robe, slippers and two soft towels. My therapist then brings me to the spacious treatment room where an hour of deep, dreamy, bliss unfolds.

When it's time to turn over, the therapist has a deliciously warm towel on hand to remove excess oil from my back. Eventually, the massage is ever so gently brought to an end with the therapist resting her hand on my forehead and collarbone.

I find myself too relaxed to move.

I then had time to chill in the relaxation lounge facing a decorative pool with some refreshments - a berry juice, crackers and carrot sticks with dip, and a chocolate.

After a hot shower (shampoo, body wash, conditioner and moisturiser provided) I was ready to float back into the real world.

The only downside of this spa's offerings is not a surprising one - it's not the cheapest place in town to get a massage or facial. For example, $130 for a massage, $130 for a body wrap, $60 for an hour in the steam room and spa. But the little extras do intensify the relaxation experience.

The facilities available include the hydromassage pool (large spa), flotation pool that supports your body weight with mineralised water, infrared sauna, and steam room.

There are also packages for couples to treat themselves together, and spa parties seem well catered for too.

This is a special place for a luxurious treat.
