Indulge in a little art and culture in Noosa
I went looking for the Noosa Art Gallery and found it hidden away beside the river in Pelican St, downtown Tewantin.
It's in a lovely spot, where you can enjoy the river views and breezes whilst surrounded by shady trees.

A quiet seat to ponder

The exhibition at present is entitled 'Changed: Everything Changes; We are Changed by Everything'.

This exhibition is on until the 7th April, 2013.

These works of art were bright, colourful and imaginative and highlighted various talented indigenous artists including Gail Mabo, Karen Doolan, James Doyle, Bai Wereed Kabe and Aicey Zaro, 5 artists that hail from the Townsville region.

The gallery also have a lovely gift shop which was well priced and offered felt scarves, beaded necklaces and a range of pottery by various extremely talented local ceramic artists.

This gallery is certainly worth a look in my opinion. Stay tuned for April's events which feature an exhibition by Lyne Marshall 'Hidden Dimensions', Veronica Cay's 'Drawer from Life' as well as the intriguing "International Baltic Mini Textile Triennial" exhibition.

The Gallery also holds various workshops throughout the year, including Wendy Bailye's Handfelted one day classes coming soon!
