Noosa turns into a haven for all things food, wine, music and fun for 2014's Noosa International Food & Wine Festival from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 May.

Prepare your senses for four big days of outstanding culinary and entertainment experience that will delight and inspire all attendees. Set against the stunning backdrop of Noosa, this year's impressive program includes a huge variety of new events as well as an expansion of the old ones. With fantastic food trails, awesome degustation dinners, inspirational masterclasses, and plenty of partying opportunities, you wouldn't want to miss out on this amazing festival.

The Gala Opening Night 'Foodie Fandango' is not to be missed on Thursday. The fantastic Queensland Virtuosi Orchestra will be entertaining the masses with their musical feast while the incredible chefs treat attendees with delectable canapés, drinks and a two-course dinner.

Kick start your weekend with the Westpac Welcome Party & Concert on Friday from 4pm featuring X Factor winner, Dami Im, The Deadliners and Honey Music. Be prepared for an evening of food, wine, music in addition to plenty of dancing and partying.

Grab tickets to Show Days on Saturday or Sunday (or both) for a full day of fantastic food extravaganza. Be inspired by the celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, be awed by the Culinary Exhibition, and let various discussions fascinate you. Lots of food stalls are slated to satisfy all appetites and you'll get to quench your thirst at the numerous wine and beer kiosks throughout the day. Party with the people on Saturday from 6.15pm with Annette, Frankie and the Beach Boys for a hip sixties-style beach party. Just put on that fab sixties outfit, bring your appetite, and bring your party mood!

Allow one of Australia's most popular comedians, Wendy Harmer, to entertain and dazzle you at Westpac Ruby Luncheon while feasting on a scrumptious meal designed by Nicky Riemer.

What's more, various lifestyle lunches will be on hand to please all palates on Friday 16 May. Indulge in a six course lunch with wines at Top Tastes of Queensland at 11.30am showcasing six top Queensland chefs using the best Queensland produce. Beer lovers must let Shinichi Maeda and Sean McConnell amaze you with their dishes especially created to match ales from Asahi and cider from Somersby at Asahi Beer Lunch at 12pm. Or gorge on a mouth-watering Italian lunch picnic style at 12.30pm.

Don't miss out on the fantastic Sunshine Coast Food Trails on both Thursday and Friday. Go on the bus to Tim Warren's Garnisha Spice Farm for an Asian banquet; cruise up Noosa River for a scrumptious seafood lunch while fishing and crabbing experts reveal their secrets; or take a trip to Martin Duncan's Freestyle Escape where you can meander through the orchard before settling down for a heavenly long lunch.

Travel to the 130-year-old Apollonian Hotel on Friday where chefs Nicky Riemer and Annie Smithers will be in charge of providing an unforgettable lunch accompanied by the best wines and toe-tapping tunes.

Delightful Degustations

Step into an extraordinary world of delicious food and flavours offered at the various degustation dinners during the festival.

Head to the Wasabi Restaurant for a five-course degustation paired with imported sake from Hakkaisan Sake Brewery, Japan on Thursday. Indulge in an eight-course degustation showcasing chefs from Asia's & World's Best Restaurant Lists at Netanya Premier International Degustation on Friday. And Satruday offers the Westpac Premier International Degustation with top chefs such as Alvin Leung, Bruno Loubet and David Thompson.

This is your chance to pick up a skill or two on Show Days Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday, you'll get the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of olive oil, taste the various types and discover how and when to use it at Cobram Estate Olive Oil Tasting Masterclass.
