The success of last year's Noongar Language classes are flowing into this year with more classes planned for 2021. Led by Marie Taylor who has a wealth of knowledge and is an emotive storyteller, Marie is a Traditional Owner and Elder of Noongar Country. She's the perfect vehicle for bringing the language of the Noongar people to life. The classes are FREE but you need to make a booking to secure your spot on Saturday 10 April 2021 from 10am to 11am at Cannington Library, 233 Sevenoaks St, Cannington.
Don't hold back as these classes are designed to suit everyone from absolute beginners to those looking for an opportunity to practice and polish up their Noongar language skills. Anyone with a passion for languages, expanding their knowledge or connecting with local culture is invited to join these classes. This is an opportunity to learn the language of the first people of South Western Australia. Attend these classes on an adhoc basis or attend each session throughout the year. Do check the library calendar and Facebook page for upcoming dates for these monthly classes.
