Our family have had a fantastic day out today at Noojee, a beautiful small town located about 130km from Melbourne (1 hour 40mins drive). It has natural attractions, great food and outdoor activities. We visited the Trestle Bridge and Toorongo Falls as we were only planning for a day trip (we will go fishing at the trout farm next time).

Trestle Historical Bridge is located at Mount Baw Baw Tourist Road at Noojee; it is one of the only remaining historic timber bridges in Victoria. We really enjoyed our visit to this beautiful bridge and had a lot of photos taken there. The bridge is 21 metres high and originally constructed in 1919 but in 1939 was completely burnt down and rebuilt in the same year.

After a yummy lunch at Noojee Hotel (love the covered dining area at the back deck with really nice mountain view), we headed towards Toorongo Falls, just drive east for 4km and turn left onto Toorongo Falls Road, which terminates at the reserve. It took us about 30 minutes walk to get to the top.

Toorongo Falls - what a stunning waterfall! We all enjoyed the spectacular view from the platform and also the walk. Our family of 4 (two children aged 4 and 11) loved the whole trip and would like to return again!.
